1 -to know o to meet?-
Nota d'usoQuando si vuol dire di aver conosciuto (incontrato per la prima volta) una persona in una determinata circostanza, non si usa il verbo to know, ma to meet: I met her last Christmas, l'ho conosciuta il Natale scorso. Quando invece si vuole indicare la durata di una conoscenza si utilizza il verbo to know: I've known her husband for five years, conosco suo marito da cinque anni. -
